Marble

Sculptures and architects have used marble for centuries, selected for both it's beauty and strength. From The Roman Empire: The Ancient Rome built of solid marble and The Roman Colisseum built of solid Travertine and was quarred from the little town of Tivoli just outside of Rome and Michelangelo and his renowned "David" to the builders of the Taj Majah, the agelessness and elegance of marble is known the world over. Although all of us have seen this stone in some application, say perhaps a wedding reception in Beverly Wilshire, it is truly only the last decade that marble has made it's way from being only the very rich, to homes in cities all over the United States. Marble has reached a state of "comfortable affordability", thanks in part to the knowledge of Europe(Primarly Italy) trickling down to the other countries also rich in raw stone.
